The Calpe Conferences were started in 1997 under the sponsorship of the Government of Gibraltar. To date three conferences have
focused on areas of human evolution.
The 2009 Conference promises to be a special event, aimed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s ‘Origin of the Species’ and also his 200th birthday.
